Introduction

The HERE Isoline Routing API is an HTTP JSON REST API that enables you to find all destinations that can be reached in a specific amount of time, a maximum travel distance, or even the charge level available at the vehicle. The result is an area (represented as a polygon) where each point can be reached within the provided limit. The API can also be used to calculate the reverse isoline, that is, finding all starting points from which the center can be reached.

HERE Isoline Routing API considers real-time and historical traffic in its calculations.

The HERE Isoline Routing API supports the following use cases:

• Find restaurants within a 2-km walking distance from your current location.
• Provide results on a hotel search based on proximity to some sights, for example, finding hotels within a 20-minute drive to two major attractions (Disney World and Universal Studios) in Orlando.
• Enable taxi companies to identify fleet taxis that could reach a customer within a certain time interval.
